Delete your PunditFC account

PunditFC is operated by Snowah. This page explains how to delete your PunditFC account and the data associated with it, in line with the Google Play User Data policy and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You can delete your account either from inside the app or by contacting us. Both paths trigger the same server-side erasure.

Delete from inside the app

The fastest path:

Open PunditFC.
Tap the Profile tab.
Tap Settings.
Tap “Delete account” near the bottom.
Confirm.

Your account and the data listed below are erased immediately. You do not need to email us.

If you can’t or prefer not to use the in-app option, email us at hello@snowah.com.

Subject line: Delete my PunditFC account

Include:

The email address you signed in with (if you used Google or Apple sign-in), OR
Your in-app user ID if you signed in as a guest (see the next section for how to find it).

We will confirm the deletion within 30 days. Most requests are processed within 72 hours.

If you signed in as a guest (no email)

PunditFC supports anonymous sign-in (“Continue without account”). If you used this path, you don’t have an email tied to the account, so we need a different way to identify you.

To find your user ID:

Open PunditFC.
Tap the Profile tab.
Tap Settings.
Tap “About” — your user ID is shown at the bottom of the screen.
Copy it (long-press to copy).

Email hello@snowah.com with the subject Delete my PunditFC account and paste your user ID in the body. We will erase the matching account within 30 days.

If you have already uninstalled the app and cannot retrieve the user ID, contact us anyway — we will help you identify the account from the device/install metadata you can share.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently erase:

Your Firebase Authentication account.
Your display name, profile photo URL, notification preferences, quiet-hours settings, and language preference.
Your predictions for all matches.
Your league memberships (the leagues themselves continue to exist if other members are still in them).
Your appearance in any leaderboards (you are removed from display).
Your push-notification tokens.
Your followed teams and starred player selections.
Your Tournament Pass entitlement (hasPass flag).

What’s retained and why

A small set of data is retained for legal and audit purposes:

Anonymised in-app purchase records (purchase token, product ID, amount, store), retained for up to 12 months from purchase date. Required for refund/clawback handling under Google Play and Apple App Store terms, and for German tax law (§147 AO, 10-year retention of business records — applied here in pseudonymised form).
A deletion log entry (timestamp + anonymised account hash) so we can prove the deletion was processed if you later ask. Retained for 12 months.
Anonymised crash and diagnostic logs collected by Firebase Crashlytics, retained per Google’s standard 90-day window. These contain no personal identifiers tied to you after deletion.
Aggregated analytics (events such as “prediction submitted”) retained per Google Analytics for Firebase’s 14-month default. These contain no personal identifiers tied to you after deletion.

None of the retained data can be used to identify you after deletion. We do not retain your name, email, profile photo, or any content you created.

How long it takes

In-app deletions are immediate (the server processes the erasure within seconds of you confirming).

Email requests are confirmed within 30 days of receipt. Most are processed within 72 hours.
